Get the "forbidden issue" of JSH® Magazine. Founded in 1876 and relaunched in June 2019, this Journal Suisse d'Horlogerie has been prohibited from being distributed by the Swiss Federal Government. Not because of its content, but because of the danger of spreading a non-watchmaking pandemic. As far as the watchmaking virus is concerned, it is doing well. To read, to order. abo@jsh.swiss

Private events. Every last Wednesday of each month, ProWatCH and its Founding President the independent journalist Joël A. Grandjean organize a very exclusive Watch Café from 07h50 to 10h10. The event is attended by a range of influential figures: prominent journalists (television, other media), influencers, watchmakers, motorists, co-contractors, suppliers, brands and distributors, organizers of watch shows, historians, collectors, enthusiasts, communicators, politicians, bankers... At the heart of this 'Watch Atmosphere', news and trends are discussed, often before they are published in news headlines.

Only on invitation. "The 40th Watch Café was in September 2020.

JSH Archives & Patrimoine, a non-profit institution initiated by ProWatCH

Founded by Joël A. Grandjean / ProWatCH, it endeavours to revive the Journal Suisse d'Horlogerie founded in 1876 and to digitize its historical contents. In June 2019, it has re-launched the JSH® Magazine, reserved for watchmaking personnel: an independent magazine, the official organ of the co-contractor and its actors, the suppliers.

JSH®, independent media: renowned journalists & experts (TàG Press +41, News Agency). Opinion, watchmaking culture, history, discoveries, portraits, training, transmission of knowledge, Echos des Fabriques...

Coming back soon?

Since its birth in July 2006, the ProWatCH non-profit association has transformed the first watchmaking blog into an independent media reference for specialized journalists and industry players: short, dense texts, resolutely devoid of images. Opinions, pure information, neither complacency nor empty words. Hacked several times before watch shows, its 1741 articles remain true and sometimes disturbing testimonies of recent watchmaking history.

Some associations initiated by ProWatCH

Henri Grandjean 1803 Values & Heritage

Association for the promotion of the heritage and values of the great watchmaker and chronometer-maker Henri Grandjean, born in 1803.

He had the Neuchâtel Observatory established, not even a plaque mentions it. He had the Observatory and the Watchmaking School of Le Locle linked by telecable, installing the master precision in Le Locle. As a local and federal politician, he built the An-Neuf district (now called Le Progrès), to which Le Locle owes its admission to Unesco. His production is estimated at about 150 pieces.

Charles Zuber & jewelry tradition in Geneva

To rehabilitate a man of the shadows who designed and manufactured the most prestigious masterpieces of the great Swiss watchmaking names. He brought back to life this historical page where watchmakers and goldsmiths were cabineotiers.
